Our vision is to facilitate individual and community healing and empowerment by fostering lifelong learners who think, feel, and act in ways that are pono (harmonious, righteous).

HISTORY

Founded in 1999, Mana Maoli is a collective of educators, artists, musicians, cultural practitioners, community organizers, and families who share a common vision of, and action toward.

Music/multimedia project

THE MANA MELE PROJECT

Mana Maoli are excited to present the Mana Mele Project, featuring an unprecedented Music & Multimedia Academy and Hawaii’s first state-of-the-art, 4-in-1 Mobile Studio powered by solar energy.

HISTORY OF MANA MELE

In 2013, Mana Maoli secured a federal ANA grant that allowed for the beginnings of the most exciting aspect of Maoli Music’s strategic plan – the Mana Mele Project!

CULTURAL EXCHANGE IN AOTEAROA (NEW ZEALAND)

In March 2010, representatives of the Mana Maoli Collective from 6 islands formed an all-star group of well known and underground musicians, kumu hula, and hula dancers.

KUMUHELE AUDIO BOOKS

Mana Maoli has produced audio-books and E-Mo’olelo for the following Hawaiian mo’olelo: Kahalaopuna, Kamapua’a, Keaomelele, and The Wind Gourds of La’amamao.
